The team at BIG Idea has been busy this summer with updates to the BIG Idea website and competition entry site!  We are in the final stages of testing to be ready for the September 1 launch.  We’ve added a new category award for Makers – those business idea focused on making physical products.  We have also updated our plagiarism policy to address artificial intelligence and incorporate software to check entries.  To encourage original work and allow for proper credit to be given to sources, a Reference section will be part of this year’s entry form for students to share what inspired their idea.  Before long, we will be mailing out hundreds of posters and information sheets to high schools to promte this year’s event and our generous sponsors.  We look forward to entries from South Dakota schools and others across the United States as we embark on a new chapter!
