Tiny BIG Idea Competition Winners Announced

To help spread the word about BIG Idea, we took BIG Idea ‘on the road’ to the SD FFA Convention in April and the SD Association of Career and Technical Educators (SDACTE) conference in July. During the events, we had a booth with information about the full BIG Idea competition held in the fall and attendees got to compete in the Risk vs. Reward game.

We also offered a Tiny BIG Idea competition where participants were invited to submit a business name and brief description for a BIG Idea prize package. From the FFA Convention, the winner was Carson Daly from Phillip High School with an idea for a remote grain bin monitoring system. The winner of the Tiny BIG idea at the SDACTE conference was Nicole Roth, an Agriculture teacher from Winner High School. Her idea was a custom quilting and sewing business. Congrats to them both!

The 2021 BIG Idea Competition will open on September 1, 2021 and entries are due October 31, 2021.
