NEW this year is another industry prize category for students to enter their qualified business. Midwest Ag Supply is sponsoring a Food Animal Agriculture category. Food Animal Agriculture is defined as agricultural processes related to beef, dairy, sheep, goat, swine and poultry. A $500 cash prize will be awarded to the best business idea that fits into the food animal agriculture requirements. The winner will be announced during the awards ceremony at the final competition on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.

A $500 prize for the best business entry addressing wellness is sponsored by Sanford Health. Wellness is defined as a state of being in good physical and mental health. The top 10 scoring entries in the category will be submitted to Sanford Health, who will choose the winner. Winner will be notified prior to Final Competition & will be recognized at the Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.

An optional Marketing Design Competition allows students to create an ad with a logo to support their proposed business idea. Since the marketing competition is optional, marketing designs will not be considered in the judging of the written business idea. Judging will be based on how well the design elements relate to and promote the business itself. All judging of the marketing designs will be down by McQuillen Creative Group, who will also sponsor the  $500 cash prize for the first place winner. Winner will be notified before the Final Competition & will be recognized at the Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.
